How to calculate the 11/2 birth-card group

Try this illustrative date: 1/1/1980 (month/day/year). It is an example, not a visitor’s birth date. Add the month, day, century, and final two year digits, then follow the reduction:

1. 1 + 1 + 19 + 80 = 101
2. 10 + 1 = 11
3. 1 + 1 = 2

For a three-digit total, add the first two digits as a whole number to the last digit. Keep the full pair. A paired-card lookup, when shown, selects a companion rather than adding another arithmetic step. Many different dates produce this group; the example is not a date range or a unique profile.
